Explore the lure of Bigfoot and discover what new information some prominent Bigfoot field researchers have to share at this three-day gathering nestled in the heart of Oklahoma’s densely wooded Kiamichi Mountains. Whether you’re a skeptic, enthusiast, believer or a true encounter veteran, you don’t want to miss this beloved annual festival.
The Honobia Bigfoot Festival & Conference features live music, handcrafted arts and crafts, fun games, a nature walk, delicious food, family friendly entertainment and an art show showcasing the work of local artisans. Multiple musical performances and other live acts will be interspersed throughout the event. Bring your own 4-wheeler for Bigfoot ATV rides, or watch as the kids enjoy a wide variety of children’s activities. Church services will start at 10am on Sunday morning. The festival will resume after services are over and conclude at 4pm Sunday afternoon.
Gather around the campfire on Friday night to hear tales of Bigfoot from people who have had firsthand encounters. Guests are free to share all stories without ridicule. Don’t forget to get your picture taken with Bigfoot while attending this year’s festivities. The campground allows for primitive tent camping as well as limited RV camping with electric hookups, available by advance reservation only.
The annual Bigfoot Conference provides presentations by prominent Bigfoot researchers speaking about their experiences and subsequent research. This year’s guest speakers include David Paulides, Harvey Pratt, Scott Nelson, Ron Morehead and others. Multiple Q&A sessions and presentations will be planned. Don’t miss this unique Oklahoma event, which has been educating and entertaining visitors for nearly a decade.
Bigfoot loves Honobia and the surrounding area because of its remoteness, so please come prepared. There are no ATM’s, no gas stations (closest one is 18 miles away), no wifi & most cell phones won’t have service! Honobia is a great place to “unplug” and get back to nature. The beauty & the peacefulness of the mountains will call to you. That call might also be Bigfoot, so listen closely!
The annual Bigfoot Festival and Conference will take place the first Friday and Saturday in October, annually in Honobia, Oklahoma.
Whether you’re a serious Bigfoot scholar or a seeker of folklore, you’ll find fellow explorers at the Kiamichi Christian Mission, located at Highway 144 and Indian Trail Highway in the deep woods of tiny Honobia, OK.
Honobia is located just south of Talihina. The Bigfoot Festival & Conference grounds are at the junction of Indian Trail Highway & Hwy 144 inside the Kiamichi Mountain Mission Campgrounds, “Christ 40 Acres.”
